Home Alone: Solitary Pleasures enlarges on the familiar objects of home, with a focus on obsession, solace, amusement, ritual, and the playful ambiguity of the everyday rendered strange.
Home Alone reflects on Dr Georgina Downey’s fifteen years of focused academic study of the interior in art, through her publications Domestic Interiors: Representing Homes from the Victorians to the Moderns, 2013, and Designing the French Interior: the Modern Home and Mass Media 2015.
